How Affordable Roofing Got Started
Affordable Roofing was founded in Takoma Park, Maryland with a simple mission: give homeowners and businesses across Montgomery County, Prince George's County, Washington D.C., and Northern Virginia an honest, dependable roofing contractor they can call again and again. What started as a small local crew in Takoma Park has grown into a trusted roofing company serving the greater DMV, and our values have not changed. Affordable Roofing is a veteran owned, family run local roofing company based in Takoma Park, Maryland. We are a branch of the Affordable Group of companies, alongside Budget Construction Cleaning and Affordable Pressure Washing, serving homeowners and businesses throughout Maryland, Washington D.C., and Northern Virginia.
Our family has been involved in the construction industry in the DMV area since the late 1980s, and we saw the demand from our Maryland customers to provide them with reliable roofing services. Ellie Harvey has headed the administrative side of the group for over 15 years, forging relationships and a high quality workmanship reputation across Montgomery County, Prince George's County, and the greater Washington region.
Her son Johnny Hernandez joined the group after an honorable career in the US Military and the DC Police Department, and now heads day-to-day field operations on roofing projects throughout Maryland and the DMV.
